In the same day a group of English people met at the lake of Dalyan river, led by a guide from a kayaking tours operator.
I was in touch with her long time ago while I was looking for information about the coasts of Turkey. She offered me to join the group. But I was in a delay of one day. I thought that it will not be a problem to catch them up in Dalyan bay.
I woke up at 3.00 at night, took my 50kg to the shore in maramaris. installed and loaded the kayak under a lightening street pole. At 6.30 I was ready to go.
I crossed Marmaris bay and got to its exit to sea at 7.15.
But there a Zodiac boat came to me, and 2 soldiers told me that no one can get out to the sea before 13.00 due to a military exercise. I found a place within Marmaris bay to wait.
At 13.00 I left the bay into the sea. I had in mind to paddle till 18.00 or a bit later and land for the night in appropriate location. The landing location for my (more delicate kayak comparing to solid kayak) should be sand or round stones. It is impossible to decide about such location until you are close to the shore. I can understand from the map where is a better chance to land, but till I get close to see it, cant be sure.
Anyway at 4.30 I have got to place about 25km from Marmaris where the military zone started. I decided to land for a short break before crossing the side of the bay out of the military area. I was really touched. But I suggested that they will call for me a cab. They did, and didn't let me even to load my equipment to the baggage. They did it. At 3.00 at night I was back in the hotel.

Decisions, very important decisions, should be taken fast "on line". decisions that are really critical are considered not having all the information, just partial. One should collect beforehand any helpful tip. Investigating Google earth is a valuable tool to show potential landing location. Even if there are not such, it is a usefull knowledge.
